Light Maze

Game developed for ISEP's GameJam 2020

Theme: "You are your own worst enemy"

You are small, red cube. You awake in a maze, not too sure how you got there but it doesn't feel strange that you are there. One thing is certain: a sense of doom looms over you, like every breath feels like your last. How do you escape?

Instructions:

Light Maze is a top down platformer made up of 4 levels. Each level features a procedurally generated maze which you must escape within a time limit. The maze gets increasingly bigger as you progress through the levels.

Navigate using WASD.

Starting from level 2 you have one ability: Click anywhere on the level to shine a spotlight and reveal part of the maze. This ability comes at a cost: your timer gets reduced by a certain amount of seconds each time you use it (effectively becoming your own enemy).

The ability works on a 3s cooldown.
